Eco Mindful Lei

Gin
a is the founder of Eco Mindful Lei, where flowers are more than adornment—they are connection, care, and quiet medicine. Trained as a psychotherapist and in mindfulness-based practices, she has spent years exploring the ways nature supports healing and well-being. That path continues through her work with sustainability in lei, where each piece is an invitation to slow down, feel, and reconnect.
As a steward of the ʻāina, she is guided by a deep respect for the natural world and the cultural traditions of Hawaiʻi. She is haumana of Hālau o Kahiwahiwa under Kumu Auliʻi Mitchell, grounding her practice in intention, and aloha.

This May Day, she is excited to share a window display that celebrates lei as living art—woven with story, spirit, and connection.

The Conscious Traveller
Hawai’i
Book Release

“I’m a travel writer and newly minted author based in Honolulu, where I was raised. I work as a reporter for USA TODAY and have also written for the New York Times, Vice, Travel + Leisure, Honolulu Magazine and more. As a journalist, I’m passionate about responsible tourism and human-focused storytelling. Publishing April 21, “The Conscious Traveller Hawai’i” is a guide that goes beyond the resorts of Waikiki and invites people to connect deeply with the islands’ culture, people and natural beauty while embracing sustainability, respect and the spirit of aloha. This is a love letter to my home, and I hope it inspires travelers to leave the islands better than when they arrived while also experiencing what makes this place so special.”

The Heart of Honolulu Event was originally planned for April. However, due to the storms it was rescheduled for May 9th in Historic Chinatown! We will be featuring Sacred Wave Hawaii in a PINK POP UP tent in front of Hook and Hide!

Check out one of our very first jewelry workshops led by Isabel Reed! Isabel has been making jewelry for many years and loves teaching others to make their own, too. In this class, you will learn Isabel’s favorite knotting technique by making a knotted pearl bracelet. There will be a variety of pearls to choose from, and all findings will be 14kt gold filled.

Check out our workshops in our Historic Chinatown location for you to enjoy with your friends! This one is led by Gina from Eco Mindful Lei.

Can’t wait to see you all! Mahalo!
